A. The National Endowment for Financial Education, a nonprofit private operating foundation with its own endowment, is dedicated to improving the financial well-being of all Americans.  NEFE, along with its preceding institution, has been in existence since 1972.

A. Nothing. This resource is FREE for your university and your students. Additionally, NEFE is a private foundation, and the Web site does not include any endorsements for or from commercial financial institutions.

A:  A recent survey by the JumpStart Coalition found that college students make up 10 to 15% of those seeking money-management help. Students want to be financially stable and are seeking the necessary tools and resources. Less than half of upperclassmen feel confident in managing their own finances.

A: The average graduate leaves campus with over $19,000 in student loans. Students need help staying out of debt and alumni need help managing their debt. Additionally, students want to prepare for their future by learning how to find a job, understanding employee benefits, and even beginning to plan for their retirement.

Q: What does NEFE offer?

A: NEFE provides objective, credible, third party content provider as well as a financial education Web resource that is FREE to the university and its students.

Q. Can I customize the Web site to include my colors and links?

A. Yes, the top header of the Web site can be customized to include your logo (hyperlinked back to your Web site) and school colors. At this time, the Web site cannot include customized links within the content to your own departments or information.
