"Wanna Win a Wii?" was the question asked by students at Southwest Florida College. They held an online contest called the “Fiscal Knowledge Road Rally,” which had students navigate their customized CashCourse.org site to find answers to five questions that were posted there.
Students were notified of the contest through banners in the students lounge, as well as classroom visits during the first week of the contest. Color flyers were also distributed around campus.
The Grand Prize for the contest was a Nintendo Wii game console with games and a Wii Fit game system.
They drove 1,018 visitors to their CashCourse site since October 15, 2009, which is about the time they started their online contest.
This is more than an 800% increase from the previous four months!
