Marketing Tactics in Detail

CashCourse:
- Teamed up with Utah’s personal money management center to extend our reach and generate awareness of CashCourse across campus.
- Hired two Utah students to conduct word-of-mouth marketing on campus, starting when students returned from winter break through the CashCourse Fair events. Tactics included Facebook and Twitter posts, presentations to classes and social groups, and handing out flyers.
- Featured the CashCourse Challenge on Utah’s CashCourse website for the month surrounding the events. Participants in the challenge who answered 10 questions correctly were entered to win gift cards.
- Hosted a two-day fair in the Utah student union, complete with games (including the money booth!) and giveaways such as flash drives loaded with CashCourse resources, wrist bands, T-shirts, and gift cards.
- Conducted a Financial Independence Seminar for graduating seniors, at which more than 50 college students attended and learned about credit, paying back education loans, investing, and co-mingling finances with a partner.
