2018 in Review

Posted December 10, 2018 by Raven Newberry

Thank you for making 2018 one of our best years yet! We are so proud to help support a network of financial literacy champions across the country. To bring 2018 to a close, we would like to share some CashCourse highlights from this past year.

We rolled out seven new courses and eleven new worksheets in summer 2018. It is important to us to continue to offer new and fresh content to our users. The courses are all available in Spanish as well as English. One of the courses, Funding Sources, had quickly become one of the most popular resources on the site.

The CashCourse Campus Planning Workbook was also introduced in 2018. This comprehensive guide takes you through the steps of building a financial education program for your campus using CashCourse. Download the workbook to get started planning for 2019!

In addition to these new resources, we focused on making the CashCourse site more accessible in 2018. We rolled out several improvements to the site to make our resources available to a wider range of users. You can learn more about our improvements and standards here.

We pledged over $20,000 to help fund 50 financial literacy programs at schools across the country through our Reimbursement Program for Incentives. Year after year, we hear from our users how crucial incentives are to getting students to engage with financial education and we are happy to provide these much needed funds.

CashCourse also supported 15 higher education professionals to pursue further training in the field of financial education through the Reimbursement Program for Continuing Education and the CashCourse AFC Scholarship. We are honored to help advance the field in this way.

We had the privilege of recognizing Ann House as our 2018 CashCourse Financial Educator of the Year. As the director for the Student Money Management Center at the University of Utah, she is a campus change-maker and a national leader in collegiate financial education. You can read more about her exemplary work here.

Our program also achieved a historic milestone this past year. CashCourse.org surpassed 1 million page views for the month of September 2018! Thank you for the support that helped us achieve this level of engagement.

We are thrilled to be part of such a strong community of financial education advocates and cannot wait to see what 2019 brings.
